Wild Things To Do!
|
Weather -Tahoe is a lake of many moods. In the morning, it can be calm and tranquil, so smooth that you can see the ripple of a damselfly. By early afternoon, however, it can be a raging sea of whitecaps, whipped into a frenzy by powerful winds blowing through the mountains.
Safety - Water safety is paramount. All boats should be equipped with the Coast Guard approved floatation vests, a ship to shore radio or phone, and signaling devices.
|
While boating-Boating on Tahoe provides a wonderful perspective, allowing you to see elegant estates close up, revel in the ambiance of Emerald Bay and its granite peaks, view the skyline of high-rise casino/hotels, and explore rocky coves and white-sand beaches along the 72 mile shoreline.
Hangout - Every boater has a favorite hangout. Emerald Bay , boasting the lake's only boat-in campground as well as its only island, is probably the top choice.
